Job Description Vice President of Tax & Treasury 212 W 2nd St, Winona, MN 55987 HEADD Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT SUN 7:00am - 6:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Vice President of Tax & Treasury, you will lead tax and treasury strategies for Fastenal's global operations. RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: oDeveloping strategic goals that are aligned with company objectives oUnderstanding business operations and partnering with various leaders to develop solutions to support continued growth and development of the company oOverseeing global tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing, managing tax controversies, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations oLeading the global cash management function, including forecasting and liquidity planning, and maintaining external relationships with financial institutions. oBuilding, leading, and mentoring high-performing tax and treasury teams; fostering professional growth and succession planning oProviding leadership in the design of tax & treasury systems and internal controls oDeveloping, training, and motivating others in achieving team and individual goals oMaintaining compliance with US GAAP, international accounting standards, and SEC rules and regulations oPerforming special projects, analysis, and other administrative tasks as necessary REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The skills and qualifications for this position include: oPossess a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience oPossess at least 10 years of progressive Accounting, Finance or Tax leadership work experience with a demonstrated ability to drive strategy and improve business processes oExcellent written and oral communication skills oExcellent interpersonal skills and team player approach, including the ability to coordinate across teams and departments oDemonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and ability to improve processes oHighly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate others oDemonstrate strong organizational, analytical, planning, and prioritizing abilities oPossess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail oExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, and decision making skills oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Guam) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: oCPA preferred oWillingness and ability to travel ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers. COMPENSATION: The base pay range for this position is $175,000 - $230,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission. | |
