Job Title: Field Service Technician II Location: Madison WI 53703 Duration: 3 months Assignment Shift/Hours: 40hours/week Work Model: Onsite, Travel within 20-30 miles Summary: Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs. Required Skills: May require an associate's degree or its equivalent. Requires at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Additional Details: Primary day-to-day responsibilities entail for this person: Field dispatch service for break fix calls including PCs, laptops, printers, pos, and many other assorted products. What are the TOP 2 required skills that candidates must have: The ability to show up for work every day and on time, above average customer service skills, and be able to communicate verbally, written, and electronically. What will the work schedule be for this position: Monday thru Friday 9 to 6 with an on-call rotation for weekends and after hours. Will there be OC (on call): Yes Will there be shift differentials: No How many overall years of experience should this person have: 1 to 2 years' field service experience is needed, more is preferred. How many miles per day will the contractor be driving: Potentially up to 100 miles, but most days should be less.
