Job Description

Intern would perform Physical Failure Analysis and root cause analysis of integrated semiconductor devices. This includes site isolation, sample preparation and electron microscopy characterization. Complete simple FA requests on a timely manner and Help maintain laboratory and equipment.

  • Familiarity with MS office.
  • Ability to follow instructions and documented procedures.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
Job Requirements
  • Education in Semiconductor Physics, Chemistry or Semiconductor device manufacturing.

Candidate will learn the following in the internship:

  • Fabrication and electrical testing of semiconductor devices
  • Sample preparation using mechanical polishing, cross-sectioning, and FIB (Focused Ion Beam).
  • Sample staining with etchant acids such as HF.
  • Surface characterization techniques such as optical imaging and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy).
  • Failure modes of electrical devices.
