Position Summary

Acuren is seeking a CWI / NACE for a 6-month project in New Castle, DE.



Responsibilities

    At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
  • Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition
  • Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client
  • Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues
  • Provide technical guidance, on a application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
  • Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
  • Willingness to travel if needed


Requirements

  • 6-month project & the scope is daily inspection, QA/QC & some construction coordination tasks (civil testing scheduling, NDE scheduling, reviewing welder qualifications, change orders, reviewing work performed & operational goals, etc.).
  • NACE or CWI inspections are preferred.
  • Project management as owner's rep for PSE&G
  • The project is the Amtrak Sawtooth Bridges replacement and located between Harrison, NJ & Kearny, NJ.
  • The bridge replacement requires the relocation and pigging of an existing gas pipeline. The inspection piece is part a more comprehensive construction support scope that is being ran out of NV5's Morristown, NJ office.
  • Estimated start date early May
  • Duration is 6 months with possible extension.
  • Work schedule is 5x10's w/possible OT on some Saturdays.
  • Per diem amount is $200 per day.
  • We're looking for someone who can drive their own vehicle there since the project is so long.
