As our Director of Banquets, you would be responsible for leading all banquet operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role ensures the highest level of service, food and beverage quality, and operational excellence while driving team engagement, financial performance, and compliance with company standards. Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee is Milwaukee's largest hotel. Built in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel, Hilton Milwaukee offers 554 well-appointed guest rooms, which have all been recently transformed as part of a $43 million dollar renovation. The hotel also offers refreshed meeting and event spaces, beautifully updated public areas, and more than 34,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. What you will be doing: * Lead and oversee all banquet operations to ensure exceptional service standards, guest satisfaction, and seamless event execution. * Direct, coach, develop, and evaluate banquet team members; establish training standards, provide ongoing feedback, and maintain performance records. * Partner closely with Culinary and other hotel departments, maintaining strong crossdepartment communication to meet and exceed guest expectations and execution of all events. * Foster a warm, professional, servicefocused environment that promotes positive employee relations, engagement, and accountability. * Manage labor, scheduling, expenses, and departmental budgets in alignment with financial goals, forecasts, and operational needs. * Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and recordkeeping for banquet functions and daily operations. * Maintain appropriate inventory levels and oversee cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation standards across all banquet spaces. * Support and enforce hotel policies, procedures, and union contract guidelines while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. * Champion workplace safety, including adherence to emergency procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. * Lead departmental meetings, communicate key updates effectively, and perform additional duties or special projects as assigned. Salary Estimate: $72,000 - $85,000/year based on experience and qualifications.
