Job Title: Project Engineering Mgr. / Specialty Gas Engineering Mgr.

Airgas USA LLC seeks Project Engineering Mgr. / Specialty Gas Engineering Mgr.to complete the job duties below. Must put job code R10088720 on resume and cover letter.

Participate in the investigation and follow-up of HSE-related incidents. Follow all applicable HSE procedures and lead by example by working safely in all situations. Complete Good Catches and participation in monthly safety meetings. Ensure that all applicable safety requirements are considered and addressed in project design and scope. Responsible for full cycle performance management for the project management team. Implement individual development plans annually and provide training and coaching to improve performance. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in project management and Specialty Gas process and operations. Develop staff competency level to ensure projects are executed per design and in accordance with ASG Project Process. Develop concrete project scope, utilizing input from stakeholders including management, HSE, plant operations, engineering, maintenance, automation and others as appropriate. Review and approve scopes of work developed by team. Prepare equipment cost estimates and engineering estimates in support of proposals. Specify equipment appropriate for the project functionality. Review and approve estimates and specifications developed by team. Assist with economic analysis of proposed projects and develop alternative solutions and assist with development of proposals, including technical proposals and supporting documentation. Review analysis team has carried out. Execute projects in compliance with all applicable company, federal, state and local regulations. Oversee the execution of projects in accordance with project management procedure including design review, hazards analysis, MOC, PSSR and SOP development and operator training. Coordinate or conduct construction and project installation.
Develop engineering packages for bid (RFQs) that result in fair and accurate pricing from vendors and eliminate, as much as possible, field change notices. Review and approve RFQs developed by team. Procure equipment and advise on which equipment that needs to be acquired. Responsible for completing projects on time and within Budget. Provide engineering support to operations. Report on safety, budget, schedule and quality. Keep all stakeholders informed of plans, progress and challenges, manage stakeholder expectations.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience as a Chemical or Mechanical Engineer or any other related title in which the experience was gained with specialty gas operations while using gases and chemicals in process, including the design requirements for toxic gases, poisons, flammables, oxidizers and pyrophoric gases; experience with design requirements for compressors in flammable and fuel/oxidizer service; experience as the subject matter expert in specialty gas system design and capable of approving Management of Change (MOC) requests, management of Change initiator, project management best practices, working with AutoCad.

Special Requirements: Must have any related specialized training in Oxygen System Design.

Travel Requirements: 10% domestic travel required.
