Senior Equipment Manager


McMillen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Equipment Manager. This position oversees the planning, maintenance, and management of the company's equipment fleet, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across all operations. The role also provides leadership and direction to the maintenance team, promoting professional growth, accountability, and a strong culture of safety and collaboration.


All Construction Division offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. In accordance with client requirements, security clearance is required and is determined based on background check results.

Responsibilities:



  • Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and manage short- and long-term equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the purchase, sale, maintenance, and utilization of the equipment fleet to ensure reliability, longevity, and cost efficiency.
  • Understand parts and service manuals to facilitate accurate diagnostics and timely repairs.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and team performance.
  • Train, mentor, and develop entry-level maintenance staff to strengthen the team's capabilities.
  • Foster effective communication across all levels of the organization, including field crews, project management, and leadership teams.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Construction Management, Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 15+ years of experience in equipment management or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Spectrum and HCSS
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of cranes, barges, and marine construction equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate as required.
  • Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to varying work schedules, including overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to work in diverse locations and varying environmental conditions.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Ability to get along and work effectively with others.

Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: $100,000 - $134,000 (DOE)
  • Benefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program comprising medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, EAP, 401(k) and match, 9 paid holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for stock ownership, and wellness reimbursement. We also offer a company truck or vehicle allowance, along with mobile phone options.
