General Overview
The Digital Asset Manager is responsible for acquiring, cataloging, organizing, distributing, and safeguarding the company's digital assets. This person will assist in the creation of assets and own the distribution and management of digital assets that support the strategic marketing priorities for the company. This includes managing the CGI process, post-production photography process, the digital asset management system (DAM), file naming convention, permissions, workflows, and implementing new technologies that streamline processes and platforms. The ideal future state is intended to support content development, curation, and publishing.
The ideal candidate has held a similar role at a well-established brand or website and enjoys both managing digital assets as well as working with multiple teams within the organization to support their digital asset needs.

Organizational Relationship
The Digital Asset Manager reports to the Director of Brand Development. Maintains close contact with the Creative Services Director in the planning, organizing and execution of digital asset needs and materials. Works with the ecommerce, product development and sales teams to assist with their digital asset needs.

Location
This position is based in Lenoir, NC.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for managing all digital assets including photography, collateral, videos, and other marketing content.
  • Assist in the development of Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) assets including gathering CAD files and other assets, reviewing files, naming files, storing, and distributing final assets.
  • Perform their tasks using the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Administer the front facing DAM system, serving as the asset librarian and/or curator.
  • Review, monitor and adhere to a universal file naming convention and file storage best practices to manage content more efficiently across the organization.
  • Assist in the gathering and organizing image files from photoshoots.
  • Assist in sending images out for retouching and other image updates.
  • Work closely with outside vendors and agencies on creating and distributing assets.
  • Create and manage workflows for the asset needs of publishing projects, like catalogs.
  • Create and manage workflows for the asset needs of the Product Information Management (PIM) platform, which is Salsify.
  • Create and manage workflows for the asset needs of digital content, like the website, emails, social media, enewsletters, etc.
  • Work with retailers, other departments and sales representatives to support their digital asset needs.
  • Research and make recommendations for new digital creation vendors to expand our network of resources.
  • Make recommendations for operational software and hardware requirements to support media management.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in media management and/or multi-media content production and delivery. Alternate backgrounds will be considered.
  • Familiarity with the following is a plus: G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and basic photography, videography, retouching and CGI principles.
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management software (DAM) such as Bynder, Canto, etc. a plus.
  • Experience with file creation, manipulation and retouching a plus.
  • Experience with Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) a plus.
  • Experience with Product Inventory Management software (PIM) such as Salisfy a plus.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with a strong ability to organize the workflow and coordinate multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment, including the ability to set and meet realistic project timelines.
  • Must be able to work independently yet have strong collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external colleagues.
