Responsibilities

Sanitation Coordinator

The Sanitation Coordinator will be responsible for directing task organization, assisting in Safety Training, and performing visual inspection and ATP swabbing. Will be certified to use forklifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts.

The Sanitation Coordinator is responsible for production and non-production areas of the plant, as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), working to prevent product contamination and adulteration, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety.

Responsible for ensuring the sanitation team is thoroughly cleaning all manufacturing equipment and will use chemicals and power washers to ensure cleanliness, maintain necessary records and sanitation cleaning logs. May also be required to clean office areas, hallways, locker rooms and break rooms, to include clean- up of trash and vacuum carpets.

Direct and Support clean up outside grounds as needed and snow removal in walkways to the plant. Performs additional related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a lead in industrial cleaning with the use of industrial power-washing equipment and chemical cleaning a plus, and/or janitorial services cleaning.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which includes exposure to: High temperatures, fumes or airborne particles; Moving mechanical parts and vibration; Loud noise levels; Allergens; Elevated heights and Hot surfaces.

  • General mathematical ability

  • Learning, memorizing and executing a sequence of procedures

  • Good hand-eye coordination

  • Good judgement and reasoning abilities

  • Must be comfortable working on ladders at variable heights

  • Ability to drive forklift, boom lift and scissor lift and pass certification exam

  • Physical Specifications: Must be comfortable lifting up to 100 pounds, pushing & pulling up to 300 pounds, continuous standing/walking/bending/stooping/carrying/lifting/pushing/pulling, frequently climbing and reaching above shoulder level, work in hot or cool environments, working on extremely slippery surfaces.
