Focus: The Ammunition Reclamation Lead oversees daily operations related to the safe disassembly, reclamation, and processing of ammunition components. This role ensures compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while meeting production and material recovery targets.

Ammunition Reclamation Lead Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and coordinate daily reclamation activities, including disassembly and material recovery operations
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols for handling live ammunition, explosives, and hazardous materials
  • Monitor workflow, equipment performance, and recovery rates to meet production goals
  • Train and mentor team members on proper reclamation procedures and safety standards
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality and proper segregation of reclaimed materials (brass, projectiles, powder, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with maintenance for equipment repairs
  • Maintain accurate production, scrap, and recovery reporting
  • Enforce company policies and ensure a safe, disciplined work environment

Ammunition Reclamation Lead Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience required; ammunition manufacturing/reclamation, demilitarization, or hazardous material processing experience highly desired.
  • Prior leadership or lead experience in an industrial or high-risk environment
  • Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, ATF guidelines)
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work extended shifts in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, reach overheard, twist and bend at the waist, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry 30-40 lbs., push up to 1,000 lbs. pounds, including team lifts and use of support devices (hand cart, pallet jacks, gondolas, etc.)

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid US Drivers License
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.
