The Office of Research Operations, a sub team within the Office of the Associate Vice President for Research Operations and Infrastructure, provides strategic and practical support to Georgia Tech's research community. Job Summary
Provides leadership to team of project, program, and compliance managers to deliver multiple IT security projects, including some large and complex projects, and ensures continuous maturity of cybersecurity programs to address the ever-changing risk landscape. Also, organizes workstream for integrating InfoSec projects with business unit solutions, and serves as liaison between Cybersecurity and business. Responsible for setting employee and group goals, deciding on organizational structure to meet the goals, assessing employee and group performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute-wide executive leadership, OIT senior leadership, project managers, campus partners and stakeholders, cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Background and experience in academia, research, and research computing. Familiarity with research security program elements and requirements. Experience in the development of role-based policies, procedures, and guidelines in support of compliance programs. Familiarity with federal and industry research contracting processes and requirements, including proposals, terms and conditions review, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with research administrative systems and data. Demonstrated experience engaging and managing complex cybersecurity projects and programs with multiple stakeholders across diverse research, contractual, and regulatory requirements, including human subjects, export control, intellectual property, and fundamental research. Demonstrated experience implementing federal cybersecurity requirements according to NIST frameworks, specifically NIST 800-171. Experience implementing and managing DFARS or Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance and assessments for federal contracts or grants. Proposed Salary
Depending on experience, this position will pay between $110,000-$148,000. All GT employees are bound to the GT/USG compensation policies. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
