Compensation: $28.51 - $39.18 per hour (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs)

As a Workers Compensation Administrator, you'll... The Workers' Compensation Administrator oversees the day-to-day administration of Tessera's workers' compensation program, including Washington State L&I and out-of-state claims, and returntowork coordination across all locations. This role partners closely with the safety team regarding OSHA recordables and reporting. It also works directly with employees, HR, leadership, finance, medical providers, and consultants to ensure compliant, consistent, and employeefocused claims management while mitigating risk and costs. The position is dedicated to providing clear communication, compassionate support, and timely returntowork solutions that promote employee wellbeing and highquality outcomes.

  • Provide exceptional, professional customer service while efficiently administering Tessera's Workers' Compensation claims, including Washington State L&I and out-of-state claims.

  • Ensure timely and accurate response to injury reports, claims filing, and ongoing case management through effective tracking and follow-up to support prompt resolution.

  • Following a workplace injury, guide employees, site leadership, RVPs, and CFT staff through the workers' compensation process, including explaining KOS benefits, outlining required steps, and requesting necessary approvals from site leadership and the RVP.

  • Coordinate with injured employees, medical providers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), legal teams, and internal partners to support medical treatment, recovery, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

  • Facilitate return to work and light duty assignments by collaborating with employees, supervisors, medical providers, TPAs, claims adjusters, and insurance carriers.

  • Develop and implement modified and light duty work, including partnering with supervisors and TPAs to create appropriate light duty job descriptions.

  • Identify any relevant employee history-including prior workers' compensation activity, disciplinary actions, documented preexisting conditions, and site specific concerns-and escalate any potential issues or irregularities to the TPA or insurance carrier as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date claim files, logs, and diaries documenting injury status, treatment progress, and outcomes.

  • Conduct regular claim reviews with internal stakeholders, TPAs, and insurance carriers to support proactive claim management and ensure reserves accurately reflect expected claim exposure.

  • Review Injury and First Aid Accident Reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; analyze data to support regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Partner with the Safety function to support OSHA recordables and reporting requirements.

  • Collect and submit documentation for Stay at Work (SAW) applications and provide payment information to Finance for processing.

  • Maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and security of workers' compensation records containing PHI and PII by accurately filing and uploading documentation in accordance with retention and privacy requirements, sharing information only when authorized, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and ADA regulations.

  • Stay current on Workers' Compensation laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with the Safety team to assess workers' compensation and incident trends contributing to adverse experience rating impacts, and jointly develop data driven strategies to improve safety performance and reduce claim costs.

  • Maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with employees, supervisors, managers, HR, medical providers, TPAs, and other stakeholders.

  • Contribute to departmental goals, communications, workflows, processes, and desk manuals.

  • Maintain and update the Workers' Compensation training slide deck to reflect the most current processes and policies and deliver training to employees and managers on related procedures.

  • Prepare and deliver Workers' Compensation presentations in collaboration with the Safety function, as needed.

  • Provide workers comp claim information to RVP & CFT Staff in preparation for metric meetings.

  • Partner with the Workday team to manage, maintain, and enhance the Workers' Compensation module.

  • Research Workers' Compensation issues, analyze outcomes, and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Pursue advanced Workday training to serve as a subject matter expert in Workers' Compensation transactions, business processes, and configuration.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing business needs.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera Workers Compensation Administrator:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.

  • 3 - 5 years of previous experience in Workers Compensation Claims Administration is required.

  • Combination of education and previous experience will be considered.

  • Previous data analytics, report generation, or records management experience is preferred.

  • Previous experience with Workday is preferred.

  • Previous knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping and compliance requirements, and experience supporting safety programs and initiatives is preferred.

  • Previous experience leading meetings and presenting to small and large groups is preferred.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and commitment to quality control

  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize competing demands

  • Strong compliance management skills, ability to make sound independent judgment, and effective decisionmaking abilities.
