HR Investigator

Position: HR Investigator (Onsite)

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay: $40.29/hour

We are seeking an experienced HR Investigator to support employee relations and workplace investigations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This onsite role requires a professional who can manage complex employee investigations, maintain confidentiality, and support a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough workplace investigations, including interviews with complainants, witnesses, and persons of interest.
• Prepare and maintain detailed case files, investigation summaries, and documentation.
• Develop interview questions and document employee statements in real-time with high accuracy typing skills.
• Manage sensitive employee data with strict confidentiality and compliance standards.
• Partner with leadership to support employee relations, engagement, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure alignment with company policies, labor practices, and safety requirements.
• Provide support to salaried staff and contribute to an inclusive and respectful work environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience conducting employee relations investigations and case management.
• Strong skills in communication, interviewing, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent typing ability to capture real-time employee statements.
• Ability to work onsite and maintain schedule flexibility, including evenings and occasional weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing or unionized environments.
• Knowledge of labor relations practices.

This is a fully onsite role located at the Chicago Assembly Plant and requires flexibility to support employees across multiple shifts.
