Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 2ndShift Shipper for our Columbus, OH Distribution Center. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated individual.

Responsibilities: * Performs the day-to-day operations of the shipping department. * Packs and ships completed sales orders by using the correct number of boxes and stuffing not to exceed the 40 lb. weight standard set up by the shipping manager. * Maintains the quality of the product by looking for damaged bags or boxes. * Helps ship Freight orders and other special orders including Heavy Duty shipments and end of day for Next Day Air shipments, including Hazardous Material. * Performs daily maintenance to sales orders to assure the correct quantity goes out including incompletes. Qualifications: * This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions. * This position requires the ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers regarding a shipment. * This position requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions that pertain to each shipment. * This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing seventy (70) pounds. * This position requires a strong work ethic and some schedule flexibility. Additional Information: The pay rate is $18 per hour The hours are 2:30pm - 11pm, Monday through Friday.
