"I can succeed as an AI Principal Product Manager at Capital Group"

As an AI Principal Product Manager, you will identify customer needs, market opportunities, and technology trends. You will take responsibility for developing an inspiring product vision. You will define customer experiences in the form of features and functionality and drive the product roadmap to meet the defined vision and execute relentlessly. Once your product has launched, you will measure product and business metrics to understand your customers' ongoing needs, increase adoption, and drive business value.

In addition, you will continuously test and learn so you can create new features and products that will surprise and delight your customers. You are the voice of the customer within the engineering organization and will work with other teams to unblock roadblocks, escalating to senior leadership when necessary. Ultimately, you are accountable for shipping the product on time and making the customer happy over the long term. You lead People, Process, Technology.

Key Responsibilities Include:

AI Product Portfolio Management

  • In the rapidly developing landscape of AI tools and associated investment data, you will manage the implementation and integration portfolio of (AI) initiatives.

  • You will own gathering, understanding, and documenting critical AI initiatives. You will manage visibility to, and execution of those initiatives. This includes frequent presentations to - and communication with - business stakeholders and decision makers.

  • You will manage dependencies not only across technology teams, but organizational functions that AI implementation depend on: Technology, procurement, legal, security, risk management, and others.

  • You will lead teams to reach ambitious delivery targets and champion continuous improvement. Keep pace with the world clock that AI is setting!

Product Planning through Understanding of Customer Needs

  • You understand the asset management domain as it pertains to prioritization of AI initiatives and their execution.

  • You will organize and lead in-person research with customers (primarily investors) to gain end-to-end, real-world understanding of customer needs and product value.

  • You will drive long-term vision and strategic alignment of AI initiatives.

  • You will set the direction for the user experience design for assigned products through a deep understanding of customer needs.

  • You will determine release goals for a product portfolio or significant product, prioritize features according to customer value, and adjust throughout implementation as needed.

  • You will identify issues that will keep the product from shipping on time and/or with the desired requirements and communicate to leadership; assess alternatives to resolve ("path to green") and build a plan for resolution.

Operate

  • You will prepare Go-To-Market (GTM) plans with Product Marketing to communicate value created through product & process changes. You will support execution of GTM plans.

  • You will leverage analysis skills to research ambiguous problems, lead cross-disciplinary teams where necessary, and communicate recommendations to management.

  • You will continuously make operational improvements (e.g., metrics, automation).

People Leadership

  • You will articulate the strategic importance of vision inside and outside of the team. You will get people to act rapidly even when they have conflicting interests and demands on their time.

  • You will cultivate a hard-charging team culture that delivers what it promises.

  • You will continuously build a network of talent inside and outside of the firm.

  • You have 10+ years of experience with growing responsibilities as a Product Manager or Program Manager. MBA Preferred.

  • You have education or work experience, demonstrated understanding of how financial analysis (I.e., cash flow analysis, valuation, fundamental research) works.

  • You have demonstrated experience in cross-organizational influence to advance and complete large, complex initiatives.

  • You havea track recordof successful stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Youhave the ability todrive innovation, standardization, and simplification in complex environments.

  • You have excellent communication, leadership, and people development skills.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $208,245-$354,017 San Francisco Base Salary Range: $229,624-$390,361

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
