POSITION TITLE: TALENT ACQUISITION COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
SUPERVISOR: ARCC HR DIRECTOR

PAY RATE: $27 - $30 PH (DOE)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides full-cycle recruitment and staffing support for all Centers, Retail Stores, Rehabilitation Programs, Call Centers, and Command across multiple states within the Command. This position plays a key role in sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates to meet organizational staffing needs in a timely and efficient manner. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator partners with HR, Program, Retail, and Operations leadership to ensure recruiting strategies align with Command goals, promote workforce stability, and support succession planning initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:



  • Post all open positions within the Command in a timely and accurate manner on internal and external job boards.
  • Maintain up-to-date staffing matrixes for all Centers across the Command, ensuring accurate reflection of hiring needs.
  • Review applications and resumes, pre-screen candidates, and assist the HR team with interview scheduling for all positions across multiple states.
  • Partner with HR, Program, Retail, and Operations Business Partners to evaluate staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies that meet short- and long-term goals.
  • Source candidates using a wide variety of recruitment tools including search engines, professional networks, social media platforms, community outreach, and LinkedIn.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with workforce development programs, EDD local offices, and community partners to expand applicant pipelines.
  • Develop and sustain an applicant pool for entry-level and part-time positions to ensure coverage for ongoing staffing needs.
  • Review and update position descriptions, ensuring essential functions, qualifications, and compliance requirements are clearly defined.
  • Attend, represent, and host job fairs (both internally and externally) to attract a diverse pool of talent.
  • Establish and grow partnerships with colleges and universities to build internship and new graduate recruitment pipelines.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of selection processes that support succession planning, compliance, and organizational growth.
  • Track and analyze recruitment activities, providing Command HR leadership with regular updates on applicant flow, hiring status, and challenges.
  • Stay informed of labor market trends, wage pressures, and industry practices; provide recommendations based on collected data.
  • Generate and distribute monthly recruitment and turnover reports for HR and Command leadership review.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and Salvation Army policies related to recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Conduct training and provide ongoing support for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) across the Command.
  • Assist HR leadership with year-round HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Partner with other Command HR Coordinators to support general HR duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required that are reasonably within the scope of this position.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • AA degree preferred, must have at least 2 years of relevant HR/Recruiting experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including email, MS Office and related business & communication tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work with a minimum of supervision, and able to handle confidential matters.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and able to interact with staff at all levels.
  • Current valid Driver's license.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
