What to Expect
We are looking for a highly capable Quality Technical Program Manager to serve as the right hand to the Quality Manager. This role is responsible for leading the quality aspects of new programs from inception through launch and into sustained production. You will own the deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), drive structured problem solving, establish robust quality business processes, and deliver measurable improvements in field reliability, production yield, and customer satisfaction. This is a hybrid role that combines deep technical quality expertise with strong program management and cross-functional leadership skills.

What You'll Do
  • Act as the right hand to the Quality Manager in leading new programs and sustaining key quality objectives and results
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new programs, including development of quality-critical product and process requirements, supplier qualification, and PPAP
  • Lead complex technical problem solving for internal and external customers using 8D, Lean Six Sigma, and Shainin methodologies
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve quality business processes, workflows, gate reviews, and standard templates
  • Create and manage trackers, resource plans, and progress reporting for all quality-related program activities
  • Own quality metrics and key results for the Megafactory site and Energy business (customer satisfaction, nonconformities, warranty, yield, etc.)
  • Perform data-driven analysis using statistical tools (Minitab, JMP), databases, and scripting (Python, MySQL) to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support dimensional analysis, statistical tolerancing, process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and MSA activities
  • Participate in design reviews, change management, and validation activities to ensure quality and reliability requirements are met
  • Drive lessons learned and best-practice sharing across Lathrop, Nevada, and New York factories

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Program/Project Management in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with Quality Core Tools: APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D
  • Demonstrated expertise in structured problem solving (8D, Six Sigma, Shainin)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, CQE (ASQ), or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing, electro-mechanical assemblies, or battery/energy storage systems is a big plus
  • Experience working in JIRA, developing workflows, and running phased gate reviews
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with statistical software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority

    Expected Compensation
    $100,800 - $151,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
