Accounts Receivable Representative

JOB SUMMARY:

The Revenue Cycle AR Specialist will focus on the collection of outstanding revenue from the insurance Company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The AR Specialist will be responsible for a portion, if not all, but not limited to the functions below:

* Implement accounts receivable action plan as provided by supervisor to increase collections.

* Investigating and resolving any irregularities to outstanding insurance balances

* Process claims submission and any necessary adjustments

* Understand the proper calculation of Secondary adjustments

* Verify patient insurance coverage accordingly to submit claims for payment

* Be able to determine Coordination of benefits

* Handle appeals with insurance companies

* Obtain PA for time processing of Claims

* Understand how to read an EOB

* Understand practice software (i.e. Dental Vision) and clearing house software.

* Adhere to all compliance guidelines and regulations as established by D4C Dental Brands, Inc.

* Answer and handle incoming business office patient calls that cannot be resolved by field staff.

* Demonstrate superior knowledge regarding dental insurance coverage.

* Understanding practice software ledger.

* Serve as backup to RCM and Operations team members as needed.

* Assist RCM Training and Development team with projects such as TIN conversions, software conversions, specialized training sessions, etc.

* Knowledge of Dental Revenue Cycle systems and processes.

* Ability to work independently and make independent decisions through detailed analysis and review

* Must be a self-motivator with a positive attitude

* Computer proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

* Bachelor's degree preferred

* 2-3 years of experience working in revenue cycle environment

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

* Knowledge of the following system software:

* Dental Vison

* EagleSoft

* Dentrix

* Softdent

* Denticon

* Practice Works
