As Head of Financial Control - North America, you will own the integrity of Ericsson's financials across our North American entities and play a pivotal role in safeguarding trust, compliance and value creation across the region.

What you will do
- Lead the Financial Control unit for North America within the Americas Financial Control Hub, with overall accountability for all activities across our regional entities.
- Inspire, coach and grow a high performing team of experienced finance professionals, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and Ericsson values in a multicultural, matrixed set up.
- Secure high quality accounting and reporting, ensuring timely, accurate period closes for all entities in scope.
- Ensure full compliance for entities in scope with:
- Local tax legislation and accounting standards
- Ericsson Group directives and Group reporting requirements
- SOX and other internal control and regulatory frameworks
- Drive tax efficiency and risk mitigation, balancing optimization with prudence across all relevant entities.
- Strengthen financial governance, ensuring robust legal entity management, effective internal controls and efficient, high quality internal and external audits.
- Act as a key expert adviser on finance, accounting and tax to senior business and functional stakeholders, including on complex commercial deals, market specific conditions and judgmental accounting topics.
- Support quarterly closings with insights on commercial arrangements, unusual or complex transactions and areas requiring significant judgment.
- Champion process excellence, driving standardization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives within Financial Control.
- Ensure strong alignment with Ericsson's Operating Model, global financial processes, accounting directives and financial authorization instructions.
- Exercise a critical ethics mandate by holding execution of transactions or business setups where there is suspicion of non compliance with Ericsson's Code of Business Ethics (CoBE), pending review by the relevant compliance function.
The skills you bring
- Academic degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- Broad experience in finance, ideally spanning financial control, statutory reporting, business control and/or shared services.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP (including relevant local GAAPs), IFRS and Group directives, with proven experience handling complex accounting topics.
- Experience in tax and treasury matters, including interaction with tax authorities, advisors and treasury functions.
- Strong experience with financial systems and tools (e.g. ERP, consolidation and reporting platforms, BI/analytics).
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams in a multicultural, matrixed organization.
- International experience, working in or with multiple countries/regions, cross border structures or global teams.
- Strong drive, integrity and strategic perspective, consistently acting in the best interest of the Group.
- Results oriented with excellent analytical skills and sound professional judgment.
- Accurate and detail oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive initiator who anticipates issues, proposes solutions and drives decisions to closure.
- Excellent communicator and influencer, able to translate complex financial topics into clear, concise messages for both financial and non financial stakeholders.
- Strong team player and networker, building trustful relationships across functions, entities and geographies.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan : Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
