As a Security Officer - Credential Screening in CHANNAHON , IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor credentials, and monitor alarm panels and access control systems. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and provide strong customer service through clear communication and accurate reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures at an industrial processing location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and required credentials, and by issuing visitor and contractor badges when applicable.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems as assigned, and document entries, exits, and unusual activity in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services per established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around the business and perimeter as directed, helping to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience - preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
