Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Command in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the chance to support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
  • Support public-facing operations by assisting employees, visitors, and officials with directions, information, and/or de-escalation during security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree with 60 College Credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
  • Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton are preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
