As a Security Officer Intake Screening in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen people and/or materials, and support smooth daily operations through clear communication and strong attention to detail. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain accurate screening logs, and help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items from entering the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces, loading zones, and perimeter areas, as directed by site procedures and staffing needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
