We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineering Program Manager to join our Adobe on Adobe team based in San Jose. The customer is Adobe, and you will collaborate with the Customer Engineering Leader to operate this program. You are also the Voice of the Customer, representing Adobe internally, with your program management peers, product, and engineering leaders. Your deep skills and passion in structuring program and initiatives to meet outcomes, and your ability to manage teams through change are crucial to the success of Adobe as Customer Zero for this portfolio.

In this role, you will be pivotal in helping craft the execution strategy and leading all aspects of Program Management. From handling planning activities to driving process improvements, and communicating vertically and horizontally across the company, the team will rely on you to keep everyone informed. This is a highly cross-functional role with partnerships across various other internal teams at Adobe.

Your work will have a direct impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of the Adobe on Adobe teams improving collaboration, communication, execution, and alignment.

What you'll do

  • Work with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams in establishing workstreams and operationalizing them for efficiency.

  • Develop detailed project plans and estimates based on identified risks and options with recommendations as appropriate.

  • Formalize/Evolve the Execution Approach to deliver the Adobe-on-Adobe Roadmap for the AEP & Apps Portfolio and manage the Program to realize value for Adobe.
  • Provide effective monitoring and controlling during the lifecycle of projects. Where appropriate, initiate and control escalation within the relevant organization to resolve project issues or mitigate risk.

  • Set schedules, and actively manage issues/risks of the programs.

  • Facilitate, foster communication and drive the coordination and management of dependencies with cross-functional teams

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment across all teams on strategy, plans, and execution.

  • Communicate program status, risks and mitigation plans to executives.

  • Find opportunities to enhance and simplify processes where possible

  • Improve transparency and coordination across functions with clear communication.

  • Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, improve cross-functional collaboration, and drive data-informed decision-making across programs.

What you need to succeed

  • 10+ years proven leadership and experience in leading complex software development programs.

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering is highly desired.

  • Experience with a SaaS, Web or Mobile software company is strongly preferred.

  • Strong technical background and experience with software and development methodologies (including Agile).

  • Excellent presentation / communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and implement tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within diverse, cross-functional, cross-geographical teams.

  • An intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity and having a flexible and adaptive approach.

  • Analytical perspective to problem-solving, attention to detail organizational skills, and a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $124,300 -- $234,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $162,000 - $234,600

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
