Position Summary
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences ( CAES) Office of Information Technology ( OIT) and serves as Team Lead for web development for CAES and UGA Extension websites. While not responsible for managing employees, this position helps direct web development tasks and strategic goals. Common activities include managing projects, collaborating with stakeholders to set goals and expectations, developing accessible website themes, designs, and components, building layouts for high-profile sites, and partnering with digital marketers to promote and evaluate the effectiveness of our sites. The position provides leadership in the areas of website aesthetics and usability. The Team Lead is co-responsible for the quality of the work produced on their team, as measured by client/stakeholder feedback, accessibility ratings, and team productivity.

  • Experience developing in one or more web content management systems.
  • Working knowledge of current web development standards.
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility standards.

  • Perform the technical and strategic aspects of web projects, including new site builds, redesigns, and feature enhancements.
