Title: Clerk IV (Administrative Support Specialist) Executive Area: Academic Affairs College/School/MBU: Humanities & Fine Arts Department: Architecture Work Location: Amherst Schedule: Full Time Work Arrangement: Hybrid or Remote Job Summary Provides administrative support for faculty and staff in the Architecture Department, including the Department Chair, Undergraduate Program Director, Graduate Program Director for the March and the Graduate Program Director for the MSDesign in Historic Preservation. Generally responsible for management of the Architecture Department's Main Office. Essential Functions Processes Undergraduate and Graduate applications (including portfolio submissions) according to departmental and program requirements and liaises with the Undergraduate Admissions Office and the Graduate School as needed. Responds to questions about department programs and application processes ensuring that provided information is clear and accurate. Prepares correspondence from Program Directors as requested. Other Functions Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience using the University Student Information System (SPIRE) and PeopleSoft. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm. This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position falls within the University Staff Association, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the University Staff Association collective bargaining agreement. This position has the opportunity for a remote work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where the employee's work location is to work from a site other than the UMass Amherst campus. As this position falls within the University Staff Association, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the University Staff Association collective bargaining agreement.
