What to Expect This position is a key member of the Instrumentation, Calibration, and Metrology Group at our new Semi manufacturing facility. You will support production validation, quality assurance, and reliability testing of the Tesla Semi and future vehicle platforms. The role ensures the accuracy and traceability of all test and measurement equipment used in-house and at external labs. You will calibrate instruments critical to semiconductor-grade precision in automotive manufacturing, maintain calibration systems, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. What You'll Do Implement and maintain comprehensive calibration programs for test and measurement equipment across the facility Perform calibrations and verifications on a wide range of equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, surface resistance meters, charged plate monitors, footwear/wrist strap testers, and other precision instruments Perform ESD testing (e.g., resistance, voltage, charge decay, and discharge simulations) to validate protection effectiveness and support measurement accuracy Monitor and maintain ESD control equipment (ionizers, wrist straps, testers, mats, etc.) and coordinate calibrations or repairs as needed Conduct compliance verification of calibrated equipment against quality systems and manufacturing procedures Schedule and track calibration due dates, coordinate with external vendors, and manage equipment recall/return processes Maintain accurate records of calibrations, certificates, audits, tests, and compliance documentation in quality management systems What You'll Bring 2+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, electronics manufacturing, or a semiconductor environment Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and traceability to national standards Hands-on proficiency with calibration equipment and procedures for electrical/electronic test instruments, including ESD test equipment Ability to perform calibrations, interpret results, and implement corrective actions Familiarity with quality systems and compliance verification in a manufacturing setting Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear calibration reports and documentation Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
