Our Buffalo, New York plant is the newest and flagship facility utilizing our proven and growing Surestone technology. This state-of-the-art extrusion and polymer manufacturing site is building strong systems and processes from the ground up, including maintenance support, inventory control, and plant administration.

Job Summary
The Maintenance Clerk / MRO Coordinator is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operations teams through inventory tracking, parts ordering, reporting, vendor communication, and general plant administrative support. This role helps ensure maintenance materials, consumables, and production-related support items are accurately tracked and available when needed to support safe and efficient plant operations.

This position blends plant clerical responsibilities with light MRO coordination, including maintaining spreadsheets, supporting purchasing activity, preparing reports, and helping identify inventory or spend trends. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to support multiple teams in a fast-paced startup setting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Support the maintenance department with clerical, reporting, and administrative tasks related to plant operations
* Maintain inventory records for maintenance parts, consumables, and production-related support items
* Assist with ordering maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) parts and supplies as directed
* Maintain tracking spreadsheets and documentation for MRO and consumable items
* Communicate with suppliers and internal plant teams regarding order status, material availability, and related issues
* Inspect and verify the accuracy and condition of received materials, parts, and equipment
* Prepare plant reports related to maintenance activity, production downtime, inventory, and department support
* Support cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and other inventory control activities as required
* Verify production sheets are properly numbered, logged, and maintained
* Request new product codes and support production documentation as needed
* Create production and shipping packets and maintain other plant support documentation
* Assist with basic product costing revisions and support reporting for analysis or comparison when needed
* Prepare regular and special reports, correspondence, and internal documents as required
* Support assigned plant or purchasing-related special projects
* Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other plant programs and meetings
* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or additional coursework in business, supply chain, or related field preferred
* Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an office, plant support, maintenance clerk, inventory, or related administrative role
* Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
* Familiarity with maintenance parts, plant consumables, inventory control, or MRO support activities preferred
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Experience with ERP systems, purchasing systems, or maintenance/inventory tracking tools preferred
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Effective communication skills and comfort working with vendors, plant personnel, and leadership
* Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and spreadsheets in a fast-paced environment
* Customer-service mindset and strong follow-through
* Must be at least 18 years of age

Salary Pay Range: $20.00-$24.00 per hour dependent on experience*
*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
