Position Overview We are seeking a Patient Services Advocate to support a busy dental clinic by completing patient registration processes, ensuring accurate information collection, and providing exceptional customer service. This role serves as a key liaison between dental students and patients, ensuring a smooth experience throughout the patient visit. Key Responsibilities * Complete patient registration, including collecting demographic and insurance information. * Determine appropriate fees and collect payments. * Accept and process patient referrals. * Schedule and confirm patient appointments. * Verify dental procedure codes. * Conduct insurance verification and handle prior authorizations. * Prepare daily bank deposits. * Support both patients and dental students with administrative needs. Top Required Skills * Minimum two (2) years of medical scheduling experience; dental office experience strongly preferred. * Insurance verification and prior authorization experience. Additional Qualifications * Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare or related setting. * Two (2) years of customer service experience. * Strong computer skills, including word processing and email applications. * Knowledge of third-party reimbursement. * Ability to accurately register and interview clients. * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and flexibility. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to use a 10-key calculator and credit card processing equipment. * Comfort preparing daily bank deposits. * Ability to read, interpret, and process various materials and information. Work Environment * Fully on-site within the dental college facility. * Professional, student-focused healthcare environment. Opportunity This role has potential to convert to a permanent position, as the organization is looking to bring this function inhouse. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
