We are looking for a visionary Tech Lead Engineer to architect and deliver the AI-driven backbone of Cisco Cloud Control. In this role, you won't just be writing code; you will be building the intelligent fabric that powers Cisco's next-generation global platform. You will operate at the intersection of AI/ML, distributed systems, and SaaS, solving high-stakes challenges that redefine how global enterprises manage their cloud environments. Your Impact As a Tech Lead, you will be the technical heartbeat of our mission. You will: * Architect the Future: Lead system design and architectural strategy for complex, AI-native solutions that scale across Cisco's vast portfolio. * Drive Innovation: Translate complex business needs into high-performance, functional, and non-functional backend features. * Foster Excellence: Mentor and guide junior developers, championing engineering best practices and a culture of continuous improvement. * Collaborate at Scale: Partner with architecture teams, engineering leads across Business Units, and infrastructure experts to ensure seamless, end-to-end delivery of mission-critical services. * Champion AI-Native Development:** Leverage and advocate for cutting-edge AI coding assistants and agents to accelerat development velocity and code quality. What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications) * Deep Expertise: 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a focus on data pipelines, AI/ML integration, and highly distributed SaaS architectures. * Cloud Proficiency: Strong technical command of AWS and modern observability stacks (e.g., ELK, Splunk, Datadog). * DevOps Mindset: Proven experience in CI/CD automation and modern DevOps practices. * AI Advocacy: A track record of integrating AI tools into the development lifecycle and a passion for pushing the boundaries of AI-assisted engineering. * Leadership & Communication: Exceptional ability to influence stakeholders, mentor talent, and bridge the gap between technical complexity and business value. * Adaptability: A solution-oriented mindset that thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Preferred Qualifications * Experience building robust 3rd party integrations (e.g., ServiceNow). * Fluency in Go, Java, or Rust. * Familiarity with modern frontend ecosystems (React, NodeJS, microfrontend architectures). * A passion for building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems that support global enterprise users. For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $183,800.00 - $303,100.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $163,600.00 - $269,800.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements. | |
