As Director of Engineering at Spectrum, you will oversee a dynamic team, driving consistent engineering practices and stable product delivery in alignment with company goals. Your expertise will ensure seamless technical operations, robust cross-functional collaboration, and effective support for product deployment. Your leadership will directly shape the quality and reliability of Spectrum's solutions. How You'll Make an Impact Develop an effective team including supporting leaders in developing their direct reports as to drive a high-performance culture and environment Lead an innovative, collaborative work team to produce exceptional results delivering the customer experience Oversee designated operations which may include, but is not limited to device testing and certification processes, and related user equipment requirements Provide engineering support and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiatives Evaluate and consult with all levels of leadership regarding technical operations, strategic planning of new features, requirements and new product development and deployment Direct quality control programs for engineering operations and consistent operational procedures Review selections on bids for leveraging 3rd party labs and external test engineering services partners, and provide recommendations as necessary Direct capital budget process and execute approved budget plan Ensure current procedures and tests are performed in accordance with Federal Communication Commission Standards Ensure adherence to company quality policies Lead and participate in succession planning Working Conditions Office & device test lab environment Exposure to moderate noise levels Travel as required What You'll Bring to Spectrum Required Qualifications Education Master's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience Experience 10+ years of engineering experience and/or network operations 7+ years of management experience 2+ years of project management experience Skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Advanced knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, IP Networks, and Telephony Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Ability to supervise and motivate others Ability to use personal computer and software applications Advanced knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations Comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations; comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state Preferred Qualifications Education Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (3GPP protocols, 802.11 protocols) Agile leadership, SAFe PM/PO Skills Advanced knowledge of Spectrum products and service Familiarity with device testing and certification processes Working knowledge with eSIM architecture, provisioning flows and related eSIM management platforms (eg, SMDP+, SIM OTA) #LI-DH1 EGN700 2026-70287 2026 Here, our employees don't just have jobs, they're building careers. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
