As a CNC Machinist in Santa Fe Springs, you'll turn raw material into performance - reading blueprints, running exact cuts, and checking your own work. It's steady, respected, and built for people who care about the details.

What You Bring to the Bench

• 5 years of CNC experience and preferably 3 years of conventional experience.
• Experience with setting up and running different types of machines, including both manual and CNC.
• Steady, safety-minded, and ready to hit production goals.
• Can lift materials and stay moving through your shift.

What Your Shift's All About

You'll fully operate multiple machines as needed, including CNC and conventional mills and lathes, perform pre-operational inspections, and study blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Perform complex setups without assistance on multiple machines; checking or changing chucking jaws, tools, rotating offsets, etc. Operate a sit-down forklift to retrieve parts and load them onto racks. Use cranes and hoists to load and unload parts from racks onto machines. Operate machines on a trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings and programmed controls. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
