Pay Rate: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour | Depending on Experience

Shift: Monday - Friday

We're looking for a Staff Accountant in Vista who knows accounting beyond the basics and takes ownership of the numbers. Solid work. Real responsibility.

What's Required

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• Experience with accounting software systems; Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidential financial information

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience with Dynamics Great Plains
• Knowledge of IFRS and revenue recognition standards

What You'll Do

• Prepare and post journal entries for routine and adjusting transactions
• Perform monthly account reconciliations including bank, balance sheet, and income statement accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
• Prepare financial statement schedules and reports
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and responses to inquiries
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Assist with tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and related documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations
