Summary: The Northampton Community College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has an immediate full-time opening for an Assistant Athletic Director - Event Operations & Facilities. This position will serve as the primary event administrator at all home athletic events and will be responsible for the maintenance, operation and management of the athletic facilities. The candidate will have experience in maintaining athletic fields and an understanding of the rules and strategies of athletic events played at the various venues. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends. Other duties include serving as the primary contact with officials and opponents and overseeing part-time employee scheduling. This is a "hands-on" position that will require the candidate to perform various tasks such as; lining fields, grooming baseball and softball, lawn maintenance, painting and equipment upkeep. Primary Function: Serves as the primary event administrator at all home athletic events and will be responsible for the maintenance, operation and management of the athletic facilities. Responsibilities:
Organizational Relationships: (1) Responsible to the Director, Athletics for assigned responsibilities. (2) Works cooperatively with members of other departments and the College community at large. (3) Relates individual and organization's role to College mission and goals. Performance Standards: Performance in this position is considered satisfactory when: (1) Mutually agreed upon objectives have been attained within specified time frame. (2) Responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level consistent with performance objectives. (3) Effective cooperation exists with other members of the administrative team.
