Summary/Objective:

The Corporate Chaplain provides confidential emotional, spiritual, and personal support to team members and their families, regardless of religious background or belief. This role promotes team member wellbeing, fosters a caring workplace culture, and supports organizational values by offering guidance, crisis care, and resources during life's challenges.

Essential Functions:

Lippert Chaplains three core objectives include: Build Healthy Team Members, Offer Transformative Resources, and Develop Effective Partnerships. They operate through a model of C.A.R.E (Connect, Assess, Resource, Encourage) to provide spiritual support all team members through the highs and lows of life during their journey at Lippert.

More specific Essential Functions are outlined below:

  1. Team Member Care & Support
    • Build trusting relationships with team members through regular onsite presence, scheduled visits, and informal check-ins.
    • Offer confidential, voluntary one-on-one support for personal, emotional, relational, or spiritual matters.
    • Provide crisis intervention and support for team members experiencing grief, illness, family issues, or other hardships.
    • Offer referrals to professional resources (counseling, financial guidance, community support services, etc.) as needed, both internal and external.
  1. Workplace Culture & Well-being

o Promote a culture of compassion, respect, and inclusion across all team member groups and work environments.

  • Support Leadership & Culture, HR and functional leadership in wellbeing and morale initiatives.
  1. Crisis & Critical Incident Response

o Respond promptly to emergencies such as accidents, team member illness, traumatic events, or loss of life.

  • Provide onsite presence and support following critical incidents to help stabilize and comfort team members. Site presence and support following critical incidents to help stabilize and comfort team members.
  1. Family & Community Support

o Extend care to team member's immediate family members when appropriate.

  • Coordinate or assist with community resources, hospital visits, or support during family crises.
  1. Events & Programs

o Offer spiritual development programs, workshops, or optional gatherings.

  • Assist with other cultural initiatives in conjunction with the Leadership & Culture or HR teams, including but not limited to community service, leadership development, team member engagement, etc.
  • Provide connections to interfaith communities based on team member needs and preferences.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • May sit for several hours at a time with prolonged exposure to computer screens for virtual meetings.
  • Required to be on feet for multiple hours a day, walking and standing in office and manufacturing environments.
  • Involves occasional travel to national locations, via car and/or aircraft.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chaplaincy, Theology, Counseling, or related field.
  • Professional chaplaincy certification preferred (APC, NACC, CPE units).
  • 3-5 years of chaplaincy, counseling, or pastoral care experience.

o Ability to support individuals of all faith backgrounds and belief systems.

o Strong interpersonal, listening, and crisis management skills.

o Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:

  • Lippert Chaplains are required to be on site in both office and manufacturing settings, requiring one to walk, sit, stand, listen and communicate on a daily basis.
  • This role will also include physical demands that travel requires.
  • Requires sitting during virtual coaching sessions, administration, and program development.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by your leader and production demands.

Travel:

Travel will be 30% of the role.
