Position Overview
The Account Executive works collaboratively with the Media Marketing Team to support KOMU 8's unique mission by engaging with existing and prospective clients throughout Mid-Missouri.

In this role, you'll help local businesses grow by delivering compelling, customized advertising solutions across both broadcast and digital platforms. These solutions include streaming video, SEO/SEM, social media strategies, digital display, email targeting, and traditional television advertising.
We're looking for a solutions-based, consultative seller with strong sales and marketing skills who can develop ideas that drive measurable results for new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities
* Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual broadcast and digital sales goals
* Maximize share of business from an assigned list of local and regional accounts
* Develop new revenue through proactive prospecting and relationship-building
* Establish and maintain credible relationships within the local business community
* Collaborate on the creative development of campaigns, including needs analysis, messaging, and production support
* Review and analyze performance metrics to ensure client goals are met or exceeded, with a focus on retention and upsell opportunities

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, think creatively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while growing both revenue and market share.

Shift

M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum of two years of sales experience, preferably in media, digital marketing, or advertising
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Strategic Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
* Working knowledge of digital marketing solutions including display advertising, email marketing, social and content marketing, SEM, SEO, and streaming video
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Ability to engage in meaningful, consultative conversations with business owners and decision-makers

Anticipated Hiring Range

Base Salary: $6,000.00 per year plus commissions

Total Estimated Annual Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00
