SUMMARY


Provides support to and works under the direction of Maintenance supervisor to support requirements needed for responsibilities listed below.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.




  • Identify, inventory, organize, develop min/max and trigger points for maintenance parts/supplies and compile list of critical spares still needed for critical equipment (integrating into Fixx system).


  • Review PMs on critical equipment. Identify current gaps based on breakdown data and OEM recommendations. Develop standard process including standard work for maintenance techs with cycle times for completion. Integrate into Fixx system as applicable.


  • Evaluate and study PM execution and propose improvements to streamline, standardize and eliminate waste.


  • Work with operations to improve the autonomous maintenance check and train new employees on operator checks.


  • Assist in the availability metric for OEE implementation and tracking on critical equipment.


  • Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process
  • Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of spares part inventory records
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes and equipment
  • Convert the organization's asset management and maintenance strategy into workplace activities
  • Apply best practices and procedures to ensure parts and equipment retain full reliability while stored.
  • Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, data management, and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervision to determine 5S Red Tag items
  • Acts as CMMS (Fiix) administrator assuring accurate equipment history is captured including parts and labor
  • Maintain the spare part inventory and make a cycle count using CMMS (Fiix) software. Update as needed
  • Define and outsource all critical spares with Maintenance help per equipment.
  • Be sure all the equipment is inside FIIX.
  • Review equipment manuals to create the recommended PM tasks.
  • Create the PM tasks by equipment, frequency, or any finding recommended by the techs to improve equipment availability.
  • Stop by shipping to pick up parts received.
  • Receive in FIIX all parts, create labels, stock them.
  • Dedicate time to inventory updates as needed, keep up to date spare and critical parts, add labels, pictures and update information related to the part.


  • At the midpoint and end of your internship, you will create a PPT to present your project status to the leadership team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


College Student in their Junior or Senior year.



LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write status report. Read Blueprints. Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization. Ability to communicate, read, write fluently in English.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Understands and applies concepts of basic math.



OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Must be computer literate including Excel, Word and Power point.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee often works near moving mechanical parts and is at times exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment varies between very loud and very quiet. Hearing protection is required in areas where the noise level exceeds 85 lbs.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
