As a Regional Business Relations Partner, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities in our ecosystem for growth and being a good corporate citizen, deploy Novonesis' story across the US and Canada both internally, externally, as well as build external connections with key third parties. You thrive to deliver meaningful stories externally, sharing our global impact from the region, and elevating our brand as a Biosolutions Powerhouse across North America. Success looks like strengthening our reputation across North America and creating measurable pull for our biosolutions through clear, compelling storytelling.
You will join the Presidential team, working most closely with the Public Affairs and Communications teams, while also collaborating across Regulatory, Marketing, Regional Business Development, North America sites, Human Resources, and people leaders. This role is highly visible and instrumental in shaping how the region tells our story to partners, policymakers, and the public.
In this role you'll make an impact by:
Externally engaging the ecosystem to position Novonesis as a Biosolutions powerhouse across key third-party organizations (Chambers of Commerce, trade associations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark), and key regional events (examples include NC Biotech Center, VIP cultivation, government stakeholder roundtables). Collaborating with Public Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to create joint business cases that quantify the impact of policies and business relationships, while effectively communicating their value to internal stakeholders. Leading engagement tours and events that educate audiences about our technology, career pathways, and capabilities. Translate our purpose and what we do into clear narratives that strengthen our brand and help external audiences understand our impact. Developing deep understanding of the situation (e.g. culture, norms, ecosystem, and political climate) and convert that into a value adding insight for external brand positioning. Identifying opportunities and risks with our external brand. Partnering with communications, site leaders, and people leaders to identify and scope brandbuilding opportunities that showcase our impact and strengthen market positioning. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key third parties (examples: trade organizations, local chamber of commerce). Identifying growth opportunities through engagements for North America (examples: grants, licensing opportunities, technology advancement, etc.). This includes active monitoring of federal agency funding and partnership programs to identify opportunities that are relevant to Novonesis. Partner with communications, site leaders, and people leaders to identify and scope brandbuilding opportunities that showcase our impact and strengthen market positioning. Negotiating contracts with partners and clients (when applicable).
To succeed you must hold:
BS or MS in Business or Scientific discipline with focus in Marketing Communications and Program Development Experience collaborating with public officials, policymakers, or government agencies Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and structured approach to problem solving, and resourceful in finding ways to overcome ambiguous or incomplete information sets You are comfortable working both as part of a team, often cross-functional and independently Solid organizational skills and ability to handle many tasks simultaneously Great networking and presentation skills Superuser of Excel and PowerPoint, with Graphic design capabilities a plus Basic knowledge of the impact of social media and digital platforms Excellent verbal and written communications skills required 30% travel expected
Location: Based out of Franklinton, NC with a hybrid schedule Application deadline: March 25, 2026 Expected salary range: $105,000-$120,000 Benefits you will enjoy:
