JOB ANNOUNCEMENT PAID STUDENT INTERN DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT Number of Positions: 4 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Starting Salary: $16.60 Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59 pm CDT on 03/27/2026 The Student Intern Program is designed for students seeking knowledge and valuable work experience in the public sector and city government operations. * Candidates must be current students in good academic standing enrolled in an accredited college, university, law school, business school, or data processing/information technology school. They need a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 on a 5.0 scale. Students must maintain this GPA throughout their employment or internship. Must be enrolled in school with at least 6 credit hours (or quarter hour equivalency) during the internship, except during academic breaks, such as summer. * NOTE: At the time of application, you must attach a current transcript showing your GPA, OR if you are a first-term freshman or graduate student, a letter of acceptance. You must also provide Enrollment Verification when processing your application. * Disclaimer - "Accredited" means any nationally or regionally accredited college, university, or law school where the applicant is enrolled in or has completed an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Juris Doctorate program. Students who are Deferred Action Recipients are eligible to apply. You must present your Employment Authorization Document when you are hired.
