We Require
Two years of administrative support experience, which includes heavy customer contact, experience assisting walk-in customers or customers via email or telephone High school diploma or GED A combination of related post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Greet and answer the doorbell for visitors and County employees Respond to customer and County employee inquiries and requests Answer the main Payroll/Employee Records multi-line phone and route each call to the appropriate party Assist with monitoring the U-confirm website for verification of employment and refer companies to this website Complete VOE (verification of employment) for County employees Maintain appropriate telephone logs Record in Payroll's Cash Management Log the money received and give the appropriate payroll specialist as well as receive monies from employees for copies of payroll/employee record copies; maintain Payroll Receipts and remit monies to HR Administration Audit and calculate new Service Dates for new leave eligible employees and prepare communications to notify employees, departments, and Payroll/Employee Records of new dates and needed adjustments Record incoming affidavits for lost warrants, etc., and forward to appropriate parties for approvals and processing Audit all A-4s and W-4s and Direct Deposits that have been input Prepare and make available payroll data for subpoenas as requested by Employee Record Process monthly Work Location Audit and communicate with departments that have employees that have work locations not indicated Process and review the ASRS Enrollments of all new and newly rehired employees Direct incoming emails with attachments from Maricopa County departments and distribute the attachments through OnBase Imaging system to be completed by a Payroll or Records Specialist Log walk-in documentation and retirement forms for Payroll & Records Process donation of leave requests for all Maricopa County Departments Assist with scanning appropriate documentation to employee files
Working Conditions
Work primarily occurs in an office setting and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions Requires sitting, walking, or standing to a significant degree Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, or requires walking or standing to a significant degree
