In this role, you will work closely with Test Engineers to execute test plans, operate RF instrumentation, collect data, and maintain a high standard of lab readiness.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

1. Support engineering activities, including design, test, debug, and assembly of prototype RF modules.
2. Collect bench data for RF module characterization and ATE correlation across multiple product lines.
3. Perform analysis and summarize results using Excel and other in-house tools to support engineering decisions.
4. Work from schematics, diagrams, test plans, and verbal instructions to execute test procedures accurately.
5. Set up new RF test benches based on existing documentation or guidance from Test Engineers.
6. Review and understand test automation scripts to validate test flow and identify issues.
7. Optimize tester efficiency by managing the test queue and reducing idle time.
8. Operate a wide range of RF and electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and specialized RF fixtures/apparatus.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Associates degree, or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience in RF testing, device characterization, or lab support.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with RF test equipment: multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope, signal generators, power meter, power supplies, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to use good judgment and exhibit effective problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with MS-Office and Windows OS.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Familiarity with automated test systems (ATE) and basic scripting for data collection (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
  • Experience working with RF front-end modules, LNAs, PAs, filters, or antenna plexers.
  • Understanding of S parameters, impedance matching, and RF measurement fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, block diagrams, and test plans.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, rework, or assembling test fixtures.
  • Knowledge of calibration procedures, equipment verification, and measurement best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Prior experience working in a semiconductor lab or high-volume manufacturing test environment.
  • Familiarity with ESD safety, lab cleanliness standards, and safe operating procedures.
