BASIC PURPOSE:


The Intern will work directly with assigned department(s) to assist with tasks and special projects, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of the organization, as well as to leadership, and learn/enhance skills that can be applied to future opportunities in the workforce.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


*Conduct internet research on topics requested.


*Enthusiastically communicate with internal employees.


*Provide detailed reporting on activity and results of projects assigned.


*Assist in completion of administrative tasks as needed.


*Perform all other duties as assigned by management.



REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:


*Intern will report to the designated manager of department requesting an Intern.


*Direct management will depend on the specific project being worked on and could vary throughout the Intern's assignment.



QUALIFICATIONS:


*High School diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.


*Actively pursuing a college degree.


*Good communication, customer service and people skills to project a positive image of the organization.


*Use of a computer to conduct assigned research projects and to document activity and productivity completed.


*Must be self-motivated to achieve results.



CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:


*Problem solving- ability to identify the problem, resolve the immediate issue, as well as to define potential and viable solutions via root-cause analysis


*Teamwork- ability to work well within the immediate area as well as with other internal and external areas of support


*Communication - ability to articulate to various levels within the organization in a respectful, supportive manner while providing task updates and issue resolution
