Overview

Join ENERCON's Nuclear Services group as an Engineering & Safety Analysis Associate Manager/Manager in Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta.) In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team to develop nuclear and mechanical safety analysis work products supporting licensing, design, and operability of nuclear power, fuel cycle facilities, and other nuclear facilities. This role is in support of the multi-disciplinary Engineering & Safety Analysis team, which supports radiological, thermal-hydraulic, chemical and meteorological assessments of new and existing nuclear facilities, structures, systems, and components. #LI-SH7

  • Leadership & Motivation: Lead teams with a positive attitude to achieve project goals aligned with ENERCON's excellence standards
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Interface with clients to ensure quality and deadlines on exciting projects
  • Communication: Lead various internal engineering disciplines and delegate project roles
  • Technical Expertise: Support, develop, mentor a team of engineers performing radiological, thermal-hydraulic, chemical and meteorological evaluations and solve complex technical problems
  • Business Development: Develop technical engineering proposals/estimates and support business development efforts including client meetings and industry eventsSH7

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or other supporting degree from an accredited university. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License or Commitment to Obtain Professional Engineering License
  • For Manager - Minimum 6 years of engineering experience including in the nuclear industry.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience leading employees in a leadership role
  • For Associate Manager - Minimum 3 years of engineering in the nuclear industry.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience leading employees in a leadership role
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.
  • Problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
  • Experience radiological, thermal-hydraulic, chemical and meteorological assessments, including experience with industry codes such as Gothic, RELAP5, MAAP, RADTRAD, ARCON, PAVAN, HABIT, MCNP, SCALE, etc.
  • Familiarity with nuclear facility safety programs, design basis documents, key calculations, processes and procedures in accordance with current design and regulatory requirements and expectations (USNRC required, DOE preferred).
  • Strong organizational and work planning skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; Comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication for the situation and relaying the right message.
  • Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong coordination and team building skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams. Ability to assess and understand team strengths and weaknesses and adjust level of support/oversight as appropriate.
  • Ability to motivate team and achieve goals through positive, winning attitude and effective leadership style which is consistent with ENERCON's Defining Excellence fundamentals.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time to client sites for project and/or marketing meetings.

When salary range is listed it reflects typical compensation for this role based on level and location. Actual pay depends on experience, skills, and education.
