How you will contribute:

The primary function of this position is to manage the overall operations of the fire protection business unit, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction while maximizing operational efficiencies, controlling costs within the district and meeting corporate financial goals. This position will manage Service, Sales, Design/PM, and Installation. Coordinate with sales to analyze customer requirements while ensuring you are operating within the approved financial plan, which includes direct costs, indirect costs, accounts receivable and profitability. Ensure that performance goals are assigned and employees are motivated to achieve and exceed objectives. Direct personnel movement within the district location by hiring, transferring, terminating personnel. The District Manager is also accountable for employee and office compliance with corporate safety programs. You will be challenged to excel beyond your expectations in a team-oriented, results driven environment.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will help make the most of your Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business or engineering discipline. The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of experience in the construction industry with demonstrated management/leadership abilities to include training, team building, presentation and negotiation skills, branch administration and effective interaction with customer/company management. Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal codes is required. If you are ready to demonstrate this expertise, Ahern wants you!
