Patient Service Coordinator - Urogynecology
Location: 300 Professional Dr., Scarborough, ME
Department: MH Urogynecology

Position Summary
The Patient Service Coordinator (PSC) manages complex scheduling for the practice and provides comprehensive administrative and office support for patients and providers. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, helping coordinate appointments, referrals, and other services to ensure a seamless care experience. The PSC works collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members to support efficient clinic operations and deliver excellent patient service.

We are a team of caring, highly engaged professionals dedicated to improving urogynecologic care for patients across Maine. Our practice has recently moved into a beautiful new space, conveniently located just off Route 1 in Scarborough. We value collaboration, excellent patient care, and work-life balance, and we strive to create a supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts

  • Remote flexibility: Hybrid/remote work may be available after six months of employment once the team is fully staffed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage complex patient scheduling for providers and specialty services

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients regarding appointments, referrals, and general inquiries

  • Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and other departments to ensure coordinated care

  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information

  • Process referrals, authorizations, and medical records as needed

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record system

  • Provide administrative support to providers and the care team

  • Ensure a welcoming and professional experience for patients and visitors

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Two years of administrative patient service experience.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
