Summary
Provides music therapy services for assigned patients and families, in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care.
Essential Functions
Develops, implements and evaluates treatment plans.
Treats patient to relieve symptoms and provide psychological, psychosocial, physical, and spiritual comfort.
Compile all assets for music releases - files, credits, metadata, artwork, etc.
Facilitate communication among patients and families.
Provides music therapy in-services and training.
Maintain professional documentation including session notes, outcome based data, and quarterly reports.
Required for All Jobs
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards

Education

Bachelor's Degree Music Therapy required or

Master's Degree Music Therapies preferred

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials

Music Therapist, Board Certified [MT-BC] preferred

Experience

related experience 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Strong organizational skills, creative energy and vision.

Knowledge of relevant music therapy treatment strategies and protocols.

Ability to assess patients' conditions and request assistance when necessary.

Ability to work independently with only general supervision.
