POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
This role is responsible for the oversight and management of credit analysts, including analysis submission, quality, and processes, while maintaining the highest standards expected by Republic with the most efficient use of processes and systems. Additionally, this position must stay current with regulatory requirements and updates specific to asset quality and in areas of compliance which impact this area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum of 7 years of commercial credit analysis experience in the banking industry required.
* Management or leadership of a commercial credit department or commercial credit function or similar background required.
* Demonstrated experience with or strong interest in AI and/or automation tools preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Description - % of Time Spent
Credit Oversight & Risk Management - 60%
* Manage the commercial loan process as it relates to submission of credit memos to commercial underwriting for decisioning.
* Manage credit analysts producing analysis on the bank's largest exposures, including those requiring Senior Loan Committee, Executive Loan Committee, and Board of Directors approval.
* Work directly with team leads and credit analysts to provide accurate and informative credit analysis to assist underwriters and senior management on credit decisions.
* Confirm completion and adherence to the bank's commercial annual review requirements as outlined in bank policy.
* Ensure development and compliance of department credit analysis policies and operating procedures and communicate policies and procedures to associates.
* Monitors areas of responsibility and implements effective goals and tools to measure success for driving the team effectively, specifically write up quality and turn times.
Systems, Process Improvement & Technology - 40%
* Lead evaluation, piloting, and implementation of the integration of AI and other technology tools into the commercial credit process.
* Oversight of special projects regarding the commercial credit aspect of the commercial loan origination system, which includes direct collaboration with Systems Administration.
* Lead and/or collaborate with Systems Administration to use the commercial loan origination system to make the commercial credit department more efficient without sacrificing write up quality.
* Test all new releases on the commercial loan origination system for items affecting commercial credit.
* Coordinate with Systems Administration to liaison between the Bank and its vendor on all credit related commercial loan origination system items.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's guidelines, policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and the overall development of associates; coaching and mentoring while providing challenging opportunities to enhance career growth; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting expectations and appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding associates or recommending disciplinary action as appropriate; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and helping to build a positive team culture.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
* Flexible work schedule may include some evenings, weekends and/or overtime.
* Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
