Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Acts as Calpine Energy Solution's liaison with the marketing, middle office and operating groups to assure smooth transition of sales through the Solutions' organization to the point of customer fulfillment, providing administrative support to the sales team and management.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct support for the sales group located in San Diego, CA, which entails activities including sales call follow-up, pre-call planning, coordination of sales reporting, competitive intelligence research and reporting and up-dating solicitation lists.
- Some direct contact with customers is anticipated, as required to facilitate the foregoing basic duties in the sales office support environment.
- Will work with potential customers directly to gather and aggregate specific fuel use requirements and profiles.
- Assists Sales Department in the establishment and coordination of customer meetings.
- Create and maintain major industrial account profile list.
- Provides priorities for active proposals to regional proposal coordinator.
- Manages tracking system for upcoming RFP's, RFQ's, RFI's and status of completed proposals.
- Coordinate and maintain weekly "sales deal" tracking status system.
- Navigates Web to obtain information about customers to be incorporated into sales and proposal content.
- Schedule and manage meetings and conflicts on calendars; answer and screen telephone calls, take messages, monitors voicemail; process daily incoming and out-going mail.
- Approves and reconciles expense reports following the company expense policy in Concur system.
- Create and manage all aspects of travel arrangements; reconcile expense accounts; approve and process payments.
- Set up all Lottery prospects for June deadline. Manage existing wait list and monitor mailboxes for DA offers. Monitor rules and changes to the Lottery process.
- Assist salespeople with support activities such as preparing documents for Direct Access Relocations\Customer Assignment Notices, update usage for existing customers and prospects, and providing regular price updates.
- Support salespeople with CRM entries and contract research. Assist salespeople outside of the Western Region on all West deals.
- Respond to Pricing Request and Desk Analysis data requirements with updated and profiled usage within 24 hours. Accurately prepare and process LOA has to obtain data from the utilities.
- Keep meter data updated in inRetail so Desk can price natural gas and power deals. * Manage customer folders on J: drive.
- Renewals-Update natural gas usage using custom gas template.
- New Customers-Collect LOA for natural gas and power deals.
- For Natural Gas Deals-Request from utility (CA-SoCal Gas, PGE_NG, and SDGE_NG) (OR-NWN) (NV/CA Arizona-Southwest Gas):
- Import usage files * Updated usage with NIDR template when load provided by customer
- Assist with enrollment forms (AppII's and utility forms)
- The position is based in San Diego, CA; occasional travel may be required.
- Other duties will be developed in collaboration with other regional sales personnel as needed and as the organization and business develops in the future (i.e. Arizona).
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business or related field is preferred.
- Experience with administration of complex commercial transactions very desirable.
- Strong computer and word processing proficiency, including PowerPoint and Excel applications.
- Working knowledge of energy industry and unregulated energy-related product and services offerings, energy industry includes a natural gas principles and terminology, power (electricity) marketing principles and terminology (NERC market regions and transmissions issues, and natural gas pipeline and electric transmission tariffs and regulatory issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
Salary Information - Position eligible for annual bonus.
Hourly pay range $28.83 to 42.52
