Summary: Installs mobile and fixed radio and wireless communications equipment at customer sites following industry standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs installations of mobile and fixed wireless communications equipment by assembling and bolting equipment onto support structure.

• Climbs towers and installs cables and antennas consistent with project requirements and according to R56 installation and safety standards. May also deconstruct installation sites as required.

• Manages inventory and assembles parts prior to installation work to ensure correct parts are available.

• Works with system engineer and technical staff to optimize site following installation to ensure system or equipment function properly; perform programming or run diagnostics as appropriate.

• Determines customer requirements to assist in developing labor and cost estimates for quotes.

• Trains junior installers as needed.

• Maintains assigned vehicle.

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school specializing in electronics and wireless system repair; plus five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
