    What We Offer

    As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the reliability of complex mechanical process equipment including extruders, pelletizers, centrifuges, compressors, blowers, specialized process pumps, vacuum pumps, fans, gearboxes and hydraulic systems. You will perform oil sampling, vibration studies, mechanical and process system troubleshooting and problem-solving measures, equipment alignment and other routine maintenance functions.

    This is a day shift role with flexible work options of a 4/10s schedule. On call maintenance support required for 24/7 coverage.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Repair and maintain specialized mechanical equipment

    • Perform routine planned maintenance work

    • Write equipment repair reports, with detailed description of equipment repair history

    • Perform emergency work (safety, production, quality critical work, etc.)

    • Provide direction and guidance to General Contractor as required (includes turnaround activities)

    • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance activities (standard and specialized) including program input

    • Troubleshooting mechanical equipment, assist in MTBF and predictive maintenance analysis

    • Equipment and system upgrades and modifications (includes cost savings and reliability studies)

    • Continuous check of process design and operation to improve yield and throughput

    • Project support as process expert

    • Responsible for compliance to plant safety measures

    • Problem-solving through fundamentally sound technical solutions (3rd level troubleshooting)

    • Internal communication and information on changes in production

    • Create and improve maintenance procedures/ manuals

    What You Offer

    Basic Qualifications

    • High School education or GED

    • 10 years of Millwright experience on critical industrial/process mechanical equipment

    • Be able to operate basic machine shop equipment. Lathe, Mill, Drill press and Pedestal grinder

    • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe

    Preferred Qualifications

    • AAS degree in mechanical technology.

    • Experience maintaining screw compressors. (Frick and Mycom)

    • Experience maintaining reciprocating compressors.

    • Experience maintaining centrifugal compressors.

    • Ability to complete Advanced Machine Shop Certification.

    • Ability to complete all regulatory training requirements.

    • SAP experience

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills

    • Willingness to train in other maintenance crafts

    • Moderate computer skills
