We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager (PM) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead our Electronic Security Systems (ESS) initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from planning and programming to execution and closeout. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in electronic security, project management acumen, and leadership skills to drive the successful delivery of complex security projects. You will oversee the engineering, design, and execution of project and program-level technical initiatives, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Roles and Responsibilities Project & Program Management: * Develop and manage comprehensive project management plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources. * Lead the planning, programming, and execution of MILCON (Military Construction) ESS projects. * Ensure the Integrated Project Team (IPT) complies with all established plans, processes, and procedures. * Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and overcome obstacles to ensure timely and successful project delivery. * Evaluate project performance upon completion to identify successes and areas for future improvement. Technical Leadership & Subject Matter Expertise: * Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance systems. * Develop and maintain technical artifacts, including "typical designs" for repeatable projects and comprehensive drawing standards. * Oversee and guide the engineering and design teams throughout the project Lifecycle Manage the integration of various security subsystems and guide engineering staff in the development of open standards. * Design and disseminate engineering best practices documentation for all technical teammates and contractors. Stakeholder Collaboration & Quality Assurance: * Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop detailed engineering plans that meet their needs and expectations. * Conduct and participate in planning and design reviews with staff and stakeholders to ensure alignment and quality. * Perform regular audits on engineering and technical deliverables to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements. * Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and transparency. Required Qualifications * Proven experience as a Project Manager in a technical field, preferably with a focus on security systems. * Demonstrated expertise in Electronic Security Systems, including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance. * Strong understanding of engineering and design principles related to security systems. * Familiarity with MILCON or other government construction project processes. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. * Prior experience working on Department of War (DoW) or other federal government projects. * Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in developing and managing drawing standards and using CAD software. * In-depth knowledge of relevant industry and government security standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, ICD 705). * Experience with open standards development and subsystem integration. * Experience with the full project lifecycle, including planning, design, execution, and closeout.
